Also on the rise for 2010–2011: specialty linens. There has been
a significant increase in couples that also to carry their colors or prints throughout the entire ceremony and reception. Couples want to carry that custom look into their ceremony and reception with chair covers, sashes, table runners or overlays, floor-length tablecloths and more.

3. Candy Buffets
Although the candy buffet trend has been around for a couple of
years, it is still a top choice for favors. Some simply like the idea of giving their guests the option to choose their candy based on their individual tastebuds, and some like the décor aspect that a candy buffet can bring to their overall theme or color choice. It’s a great way to be creative and thank your guests for coming at the same time. Nothing symbolizes adulthood like marriage, so take that chance to
call on your inner child and indulge in this sweet treat.

4. Late-Night Snacks
Most couples put an emphasis on their social-hour appetizers
and beverage selections and are now providing a separate late-night treat for their guests to enjoy. You can usually plan on less than half of your guest count—or less, depending on your guest list—being in attendance for “phase II” of your evening. You will want to provide a fun and casual bite for your guests to indulge in such as pizzas, build-your-own nachos, sliders, popcorn, or a sweet-and-salty combination. You will want to keep your late-night snacks light and easy.

5. Winter-Wonderland Wedding
If a fresh blanket of white snow sounds like the ideal photo backdrop for you, then a winter wedding is the way to go. For some couples, getting married in the winter is what they had always imagined. Not only can you escape to a warm destination on your honeymoon immediately afterward, but it can also be a great way to save money, as some vendors offer discounts in the winter months.
